We, the directors of Club
Fusion would like to offer a warm welcome to those families
considering our club for the upcoming 2006-2007 season! First, a
welcome back to all of last years families who helped make the
2005-2006 season such a rewarding and memorable year, not only with
amazing results but in terms of new relationships that will last a
lifetime.
Second, a welcome to new families that are looking to join Club
Fusion for the first time. Historically an average of 100 new
families join Club Fusion each year. We hope you feel comfortable
joining a new club that focuses on family as much as we do at Club
Fusion! We hope that you enjoy our website that is designed to
give all the information you need about Club Fusion to check us out, as
well as the logistics of tryouts and pertinent information on how to
make contact with us if you have additional questions for us.
There are 5 key ingredients to a successful club volleyball
organization. They are coaching, competition, facility,
infrastructure and customer service. Club Fusion has a simple
strategy each season that states, Each year Club Fusion will
provide more value to its families (parents & players) than the
year before. Driven by these 5 key ingredients this is where we
plan to add value to our families in the 2006-2007 club season.
During tryouts each year parent information meetings will be held to
answer more specific questions about Club Fusion. Hope to see you
there!

Program Information
Club Fusion Volleyball is an elite junior volleyball club sanctioned
through USA Volleyball and the Great Lakes Region. Fusion is intent
on competing with the top volleyball programs in the country. We
will focus on training our athletes to do just that. Our unique
training methods, strength and conditioning, individual position
training and attention to detail are what has allowed us to catapult
to the top of the Great Lakes Region in just two short years.
Our focus is on training each individual player to reach her
potential. Every athlete is different and will require training that
fits her needs... not those of the programs. Our program also caters
to the needs of the multi-sport athlete. Many of our athletes
competed in more than one sport last year.
We feel that the great deal of exposure and elite competition we
offer will give our athletes a wonderful opportunity to continue
their volleyball careers at the collegiate level. After five years,
we have 103 players playing at the
collegiate level. In addition, 12 players in the
Class of 2007 and 1 player in the
Class of 2008 have already verbally committed to play at Division I
schools.
2006 Season Recap
2006 was a great season for Club Fusion, as we were one of only three
clubs in the country to qualify a team in each of the Open divisions
at the
Junior Olympic Volleyball Championships in Atlanta, GA. It
marked the second straight year that we have done so; it is a remarkable accomplishment for our young club. JO's was
highlighted by the 17 Black team taking 2nd in the 17 Open division.
Our 18 Black and 16 Black also had Top 15 finishes (for full results see JO
Capsule below). We also had 3 players named to the Junior Olympic
All-Tournament teams. Other season highlights include:
- 22 seniors in class of 2006 committed to play
collegiate volleyball
on scholarship.
- 12 players in class of 2007 have made verbal
commitments to Division I
programs at this time.
- 1 player in the class of 2008 has made a verbal
commitment to play
collegiate volleyball.
- Several players are selected to the Great Lakes High
Performance teams
While it may seem difficult to do after such a successful 2006
campaign, 2007 will prove to be even better!

Fusion Sports Center
The Fusion Sports Center is a state-of-the-art volleyball complex
located in Marengo, Illinois just a mile north of Interstate 90 on
Route 20. The beautiful 4 court facility opened its doors in
February of 2003 and served as Club Fusion's training facility for
the last two seasons. In addition, the Fusion Sports Center was host
to several junior girls tournaments including the Great Lakes
Regional Qualifiers, Great Lakes Power League, the Midwest Elite
Series and Club Fusion's Fusion Fest Tournament Series. For more
information visit
www.fusionsportscenter.com.
Internal Recruiting Service
Regarded as one of the top clubs in the country among college
coaches, Fusions commitment to the recruiting process continues to
be strong. Behind the hard work of Jim Mohr and the Club Fusion
staff, athletes are exposed to colleges across the country at every
level. Jim works with the athletes and the parents to find the right
fit for each player, and is considered by many collegiate coaches as
the best in the business. Every player that has wanted to play at
the collegiate level has seen their goals realized in our five years
in existence and Jim is dedicated to seeing that mark stay intact
for many years to come.
Tournaments & Competition
The Club Fusion staff works extremely hard each season to find the
right blend of competition, convenience and cost when putting
together the tournament schedule. We feel that this season will be
no different. Teams may play in the Great Lakes Power League, two or
three National Qualifiers, the Regional Qualifier, Central Zones, Fusion Fest
Tournaments, Power Tours, and other quality tournaments such as the
Midwest Elite Series, the National Junior Classic, and
Pre-Nationals. And of course, we will try to qualify as many teams
for the Junior Olympics as possible. We anticipate 2007 to be our
most competitive year ever, as we continue to grow not in numbers,
but most importantly in strength.
Strength & Conditioning Training
In 2006 we continued to provide our players with a regimented
strength and conditioning program. Our program consists of plyometric training and core strength development using medicine
balls, resistance bands and other training devices. Our
program is a mixture of different programs from some of the best
collegiate strength and conditioning coaches in the country!.
